Testimonials

Caroline makes the sessions enjoyable and fun; the classes are relaxed, informative, therapeutic and a great way to stretch and loosen out tight muscles.

Caroline Thorley

Caroline has over 10 years’ experience teaching mat and equipment Pilates. She came to Pilates when recovering from a serious back injury beginning as a client at Veronique Coignac’s studio in Hertfordshire. She later trained and taught with Veronique and her team before moving to Exeter.

As a movement teacher, Caroline aims to create a safe environment, encouraging clients to gain the knowledge and confidence in class to develop their own home practice. Questions, insights and suggestions are always welcomed in class.

For Caroline, continued professional development is a way of life, in addition to continuing with Pilates she also trained for a year in sports and remedial massage (Exmouth School of Massage, 2013) and more recently completed a year’s training in Hanna Somatics (Lisa Petersen, Somatic Exercise Coach 2019).

Jayne Mcilveen

Jayne has just moved to Plymouth from Belfast where she has spent the last 7 years in a Physiotherapy practice as a Pilates Rehabilitation Specialist and Sports Therapist. She is a fully STOTT qualified Mat and Equipment instructor.

Jayne’s first experience in Pilates was in her professional dance career, as an important tool for injury rehab and to stay performance fit. After dance, Jayne moved to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East where she spent 3 years as a Pre- and Post-Natal Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor for Saudi women.

Jayne is passionate about helping clients understand their body; adjusting movement to their needs, assisting recovery from injury and life stress and helping them to optimise their unique bodies’ potential.

Jayne firmly believes Pilates is for all and incorporates the full person; physical, emotional and psychological.

Jayne is always educating, she is continuing her training this year in a sports science research module and hopes to complete her Masters in Sports Rehabilitation.
